Manga 634

The plot thickens...

  • Enter the summons.  Naruto is surprised and impressed to be met with a grown-up Gamakichi rather than Gamabunta.  Also, we learn the name of Sasuke's snake summon, Aoda.  Hoping some badass Aoda and Sasuke fanart is incoming :XD:. And Sakura of course summoned Katsuyu(who I'm guessing already healed the other kages?).

  • Katsuyu multiplies in order to heal the alliance, Aoda brings Sasuke closer to the Juubi, and Gamakichi jumps to attack it.  More team 7 praise and sannin parralels follow...

  • Finally, the Sasuke and Naruto teamwork that he so wished for back when he had that conversation with Yamato (where is heeeee???) about wind being able to make fire stronger.  He combines his rasenshuriken with Sasuke's susanoo black arrow to finish off the Juubi while their friends and allies look on and cheer.  The moment brings a sentimental tear to the eye of Sakura.

  • Naruto seems beyond thrilled, but Sasuke's words "burn it down", and that dark look on his face cause one to wonder if everything is okay with him.  What's going on in his mind and body at that moment?  Sai asks this question for us and Juugo's words aren't particularly encouraging.  The plot gets that much more unpredictable.

  • Anyways, Orochimaru and my darling babies Suigetsu and Karin did end up going to Tsunade and the kages after all.  This I am really excited to see, Orochimaru and Tsunade interaction and just what will happen there.  Not to mention Suigetsu and Karin are always fun :XD: It should help answer the question of just what are Orochimaru's true motives.

Next week's chapter should be pretty damn good if this week is any indication.  Looking forward to it.

Thoughts? Opinions? Predictions? :flirty: Till next week

    Manga 633

So chapter 633 at last, lots of things happened but the only thing I really, really enjoyed was that SAI CAME BACK! asdfgfsdfsafdahsjfa;fksgsagsagaskgakja :dance::dance:

    • When the chapter begins, Naruto and Sasuke are staring each other down and sizing each other up as usual. The team 7 love and harmony aren't going to last forever of course, and so I'm sure they are mentally preparing to battle each other already.  Meanwhile, Minato is nearby being a proud parent.

    • Not wanting to be outdone by team 7, team 8 shows off some of their new and improved abilities, which are certainly impressive. I especially liked Kiba's Cerberus transformation and it's always nice to see Shino get to do anything.  Hinata's achieving 64 fists Hakke due to her memory of Naruto's hand holding and smile will throw the pairing wars into yet antoher frenzy I'm sure. :faint:

    • Ino-Shika-Chou time.  Again, fairly impressive although I'm rush-reading to get to the end by this point. "Human bullet yoyo!" Nuff said really.

    • Then, my beloved Sai returns from oblivion to remind everyone that he is also a part of team 7.  Sure he got literally knocked down, but he came up with a strategy that our original team 7 plans to put into action through the power of summons.  I did enjoy that finger biting panel :XD:

So essentially, team 7 have become the new sannin in a way now, surpassing their masters as we all knew they would.
What will happen next, I have no idea XD. And now that we have Sai back, where are Yamato, Anko, Karin, Suigetsu, and Orochimaru? The latter three, we may find out soon enough, but those first two, we may never know :faint:

Thoughts? Opinions? Predictions? :flirty: Till next week

    Manga 632

Sakura's time to finally shine :headbang:

    • We start the chapter out with an impressive, nostalgia-inducing color page of team 7 looking awesome. A sign of good things to come, I'm hoping.  Ino and Team Asuma are feeling the nostalgia as well, although Shikamaru is still a little peeved about having to accept Sasuke again. Also, we get some adorable team 8 interaction so it's a good old times happy-fest all around.  What happened to Kiba's face marks though? Was that one of Kishi's usual snafus?

    • Awwww, Juugo cares about what Sasuke must be thinking and feeling. I may love team 7 but I also love my Taka as well   Anyways, the barrier the hokages made is containing the Juubi so far, impressing everyone.  Hashirama creates a few clones to help the alliance fight the Juubi while it's contained and creates another one just for Madara :giggle: Madara has no interest in battling clones, however.  Only the real, flesh and blood (or whatever it is edo tensei zombies are made of XD) Hashirama will do.

    • Cornered, the Juubi multiplies into various creepy smaller forms of itself in order to protect its main body, or something like that (these kinds of details can be hard to follow ). This is where Sakura finally gets her chance to show her teammates her own power, instead of letting them hog the spotlight.  She had apparently been storing chakra for up to three years (a skill she learned from Tsunade), and gets to put it to good use against the mini Juubis, scaring the hell out of Naruto and impressing Sasuke as a result. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Kishi is no longer ignoring his female characters.

    • However, I still don't like that she still ended up having to be saved or helped out by Naruto and Sasuke again.  It will make the shippers on both sides happy though, I can imagine.  Plus, the team 7 banter which followed was fun and brought back memories.  I like that Sakura let them know that she is strong enough to snatch the hokage title if the two of them keep fighting over it. :XD: Hopefully her damsel-in-distress days are mostly over after this.

So there you have it, a good team 7 fanservice chapter. I only wish Kakashi had been there to witness Sakura's strength, but oh well

    Manga 631

This chapter was so much fun I could barely handle it :XD:

    • Minato, such an epic entrance.  Sakura notices his edo tensei eyes, but he reassures her he's on the right side and asks if she's Naruto's girlfriend.  Hilarity then ensues, as Sakura's spunky attitude reminds him of Kushina.  Are the pairing wars swinging in NS's favor once again? Only time will tell.

    • As many of you smart fans guessed, Naruto was able to sense Minato and everyone else's chakra in kyuubi mode, which is why he wasn't surprised.

    • The other hokages arrive to the astonishment of everyone.  Madara is near orgasmic with joy, but unfortunately for him, Hashirama plans on dealing with the Juubi problem before taking on Madara once again.  As the hokages seal the Juubi, Sasuke arrives like he owns the place.

    • Sakura and Ino seem happy enough to see him, but everyone else is rightfully a little pissed and distrustful. Naturally, Sasuke doesn't care what any of them think, as his plan is to protect the village so that he can become hokage and change it.  Now we know what Sasuke and Naruto will end up fighting over in the end after all. That sly Kishi.

    • As Sasuke and Naruto prepare to go and help fight, Naruto advises Sakura to rest, but she lets him know that she is just as strong and capable a member of team seven as he and Sasuke and goes off to fight with them as Naruto smiles warmly. Good for her.

There you have it, team seven is whole once again, for now anyway.  I've noticed already that people either love this chapter or hate it with the passion of a thousand burning suns, so I can't wait to hear all of your opinions

    Manga 630

This was just an okay, so-so chapter for me, some characters had moments to shine here and there, but the ending was the most squeal-worthy of all

    • Back to Obito and Kakashi's heart-to-heart (or rather, empty hole in Obito's case) in boxland.  This time it's Obito's turn to try and convert Kakashi to his way of thinking by tempting him with illusions of himself and Rin as they appeared in the past.  Kakashi rejects them, however, because illusions cannot fill one's heart.  Only real people can do that.

    • Switching to Naruto and the alliance, the Juubi is creeping me the hell out with whatever it's doing.  Bee and Gyuuki realize it's their turn to take the beast on since Naruto is still resting and getting healed.  Meanwhile, Madara is still pissed that he has to deal with the alliance instead of leaving to have fun with Hashirama.  The alliance have no idea what to do now.

    • Our main heroine Sakura finally gets a chance to make a motivational speech of her own, reminding the alliance that Naruto is doing all he can because he considers them all friends, even the lowly fodders XD  So they should do all they can is well.  She continues to put all of her energy into healing him.

    • Inspired, Shikamaru and team 10 get yet another moment to shine when Shikamaru comes up with a plan to stall the Juubi by having everyone continuously use simple doton jutsu to make weak walls to slow the Juubi down.  Ino has her moment of heroism in this chapter when she relays Kitsuchi's instructions on the proper seals to use to the entire alliance, through her mind.  Kishi's been giving the Konoha ladies plenty of moments as of late :3  Anyways, Bee's job is to try and shift it's route by throwing bijuudama at it.

    • Back to drama in boxland.  Basically, Kakashi has determined that he is going to follow the words of the old Obito, even if the current Obito no longer lives by them.

    • Finally, my favorite part :XD:  Minato jumps into the battle just in time, right in front of Naruto and Sakura.  Naruto's "you were right on time, dad" and his cute facial expression made my day.  I can't wait to see more interaction between the father and son.

Will the other hokage's as well as Sasuke and Taka arrive shortly after?  Or did they maybe split up so that some of them checked on Tsunade and the other kages?

Thoughts? Opinions? Predictions? :flirty: Till next week

    Manga 629

Some light is finally shed on the  puzzling mystery of just why Kakashi killed Rin, but before that, some more battlefield action...

    • Madara is pretty much ready to ditch the place and go have fun with Hashirama, assuming that the Juubi's twisters killed mostly everyone.  However, the kyuubi chakra shrouds continued to protect them.  Fun times with Hashirama will have to wait a little longer XD

    • Our hero Naruto is looking appropriately badass and determined, and apparently even the Juubi can sense the spirit of the rikudou sage and the other tailed beasts in him, as it starts screaming like crazy and goes through another dramatic transformation. Bad timing for the alliance as their chakra shrouds vanish and Naruto gives in to his injuries.

    • The alliance return the favor to Naruto by rallying around him while Sakura finally gets the chance to get close to him and heal him.  Also, nice to see Hinata taking the lead in a way.  On that optimistic note of friendly togetherness among the alliance, we switch over to Kakashi and Obito in boxland.

    • Rather than kill Obito when he has the chance, guilt-ridden Kakashi tries to convert Obito back to the right path, believing there is still good left in his former friend.  Instead, he gets some evil Uchiha laughter and a recreation of Rin's death as Obito phases through his lightning chidori.

    • To make a long story short, the mist ninjas had kidnapped Rin, made her into the jinchuuriki of the three tails, and allowed Kakashi to rescue her, with the intention of using her to destroy Konoha.  Clever plan actually. I always did like mist ninjas :giggle: Anyways, rather than be used as a weapon against her own village, Rin chose to die by Kakashi's hand.

    • King of emos, Obito cannot accept this reality, or the ninja world that crated such a reality.  His heart is a deep, empty hole. lmao  Laughing hard and yet I still somehow feel as though I understand the guy's pain. Go figure :faint:

Entertaining chapter, for sure.  How will the alliance handle Madara, and will Kakashi and Obito get out of boxland? We'll find out next week

    Manga 628

Now that Sasuke and the hokages are all heading toward the battlefield, the chapter switches over to let us know how Naruto and everyone else are doing...

    • Naruto continues to share his chakra with absolutely everyone in the alliance in order to protect them. Otherwise, most of them would probably not survive.  Our heroine Sakura finally reappears to notice this and worry about whether Naruto will be harmed by giving too much chakra away. It's pretty touching to see her worrying about him like that.

    • Kurama also notices that Naruto is risking wearing himself out by trying to control too much chakra at once.  Hmm, I'm actually getting a little worried about him now myself, hopefully his dad will get there soon and help him out as we are all expecting.

    • Anyways, some more taunting from Obito, which Naruto responds to with an inspiring friendship speech, we all know how this works by now :giggle: Still, I can't help but like Naruto (the character).

    • It's nice to see Sakura go "Shannaro!" with that smile like she's going to go and raise some hell and do something awesome. Perhaps she'll get the chance in chapters to come.

    • Now for my favorite part of this chapter.  Truly, Madara has made some pretty epic facial expressions so far but the crazy excited face he makes when he senses Hashirama's chakra might be one of the best in the whole series. It's that awesome :lmao: It's like Hashirama is his drug XD

    • Things start to get intense, Kakashi starts to use Kamui to make the juubi vanish but Obito stops that and they both teleport away leaving Naruto to deal with the Juubi's tenpachi storm on his own.

Oh, but our hero will get unexpected help soon  How will he react then? Unfortunately there is yet another break next week so we'll just have to wait a little longer than usual to find out :faint:

    Manga 627

Weirdest chapter ever, at least for me :lmao:
Maybe I'll just never get used to Sasuke becoming good...

    • Sasuke fills all the former hokage in on what Madara's plans are.  How he knows them himself I don't quite know or remember.  Then he goes on about how Itachi was the one who inherited Hashirama's will after all even though he was an Uchiha, and he SMILES.

    • This prompts Tobirama to realize that Uchihas weren't all that bad after all, he knew a good Uchiha too (Kagami, Shisui's father).  Well you should've mentioned that before, Tobirama.  Not that it matters as Sasuke seems to be converting to the right path all on his own.

    • I loved Hashirama's face when his brother called him soft :giggle: And I also appreciated Hiruzen's words about Danzou and reaction to hearing that Sasuke killed him.

    • Basically, all the Hokage's go on about how they failed one way or another, and Sasuke gets to see that none of them (except maybe Tobirama) ever really wished any harm upon his clan and that they all had good intentions. lol at Orochimaru sulking over getting passed over as Hokage in favor of Minato.

    • After all this, Sasuke finally realizes that he can't let his brother's sacrifice be for nothing, and chooses to defend Konoha after all. The problem here is that I'm not sure how I should feel about this...Even Orochimaru is still acting like a good guy who only wants to support Sasuke.  Apparently he came to this decision after seeing how Kabuto went crazy trying to be him while Sasuke chose his own way.

    • Suigetsu tries to leave this crazy bunch when my favorite redhead stops him in his tracks like only she can.  Seeing her, Sasuke apologizes for maybe the first time in his life. The apology seemed rushed and awkward in my opinion, but Karin didn't seem to mind.  And on that optimistic note, everyone heads over to Konoha.

How is there going to be a Sasuke vs. Naruto fight if he redeemed himself all on his won?  How will team Seven react to seeing him again? Will Naruto and Minato's father/son reunion be epic and emotional? What about Hashirama and Madara's reunion?  We'll just have to wait and see but I can't shake the feeling that this chapter was seriously strange...

    Manga 626

The epic ending of the Madara/Hashirama fight and of the flashbacks in general seems to have come upon us :XD:

    • Hashirama is confused about what Madara is trying to achieve since they already made their dream of creating Konoha a reality, but Madara wants nothing to do with Konoha anymore (understandably) and so he leaves.

    • The village grew and prospered without him though, and little children were able to grow up to experience the wonders of alcohol. Seriously :giggle: Anyways, the only thing spoiling this perfect peace was random attacks by Madara every once in a while, leading up to the big Valley of the End fight.

    • Am I the only one who felt bad for Kurama after the Susanoo armor was shattered by the thousand punches and then Kurama collapsed? I love when Kuarama is fierce and frightening, not defeated. But with the kyuubi down, Hashirama and Madara have the opportunity to fight one on one and finally settle things. After they both attack, Hashirama appears to be the one who falls. Rain is falling and drama is building, Kishi sure does love his rainy dramatic fights.

    • It appears like Madara has the victory, taunting Hashirama when suddenly, STAB!!!! That sure looks painful...

    • The Hashirama on the ground was a wood bunshin and the real Hashirama stabbed Madara from behind, that seme. :flirty:Jokes aside though, it's pretty tragic. Hashirama chose the village and the protection of it over his friendship for Madara and made the choice to put it over anything else.  Before he "dies", Madara warns him that darkness would eventually envelop the village.

    • Back to Sasuke and Hashirama in the present. Hashirama finishes up his story and defines a shinobi as someone who endures to achieve a goal, but depending on what the goal is, it can change them as Madara and Hashirama both eventually changed.  Sasuke is left to make his decision now and I'm so impatient to find out what it is :iconexcitedplz:

No Mito at all in any of these flashbacks but I'm not even complaining as we are back to Sasuke and I want to know what he decides or how he reacts, if Minato will get a chance to say anything, and if Karin might possibly appear to reunite with Taka. What do you predict?

    Till next week

    Manga 625

The founding of Konoha, finally! But still no Mito :XD:

    • Everyone pretty much thinks Madara has lost it and gone crazy except for Hashirama, who decides to sacrifice himself for lasting peace. Stripping off his armor and preparing to kill himself, he leaves Tobirama with some last words.

    • But it was just a test all along, as some of you predicted   Madara stops him at the last minute.  Having seen the strength of Madara's character he finally decides to join him in uniting their two clans together.

    • So Hashirama's original plan was for Madara to be the Hokage and get his face on the mountain.  Hashi probably needed an excust to be able to stare at it :giggle:  Their lighthearted banter regarding the naming of Konoha and the use of the term Hokage was awesome :XD: It seemed as though they were finally getting back to their childhood relationship when Tobirama had to step in and ruin things for them once again.

    • Tobirama pretty much informs his brother that nobody would support Madara as Hokage and makes his distrust and suspicions regarding the Uchiha apparent. He was so into his rant he didn't even sense that apparently Madara was listening to it all.

    • Hashirama can't argue with what the people as a whole want, and so it's his face that ends up on the mountain and him who ends up in the Hokage uniform.

    • And so Madara, foreseeing the future of extermination for his clan, chooses to leave the village in spite of Hashirama's pleas for him to stay. His crazy evil face at the end of the chapter was truly epic stuff. I might need to make a purple avvy out of that one...

Good chapter all around, another slightly rushed and sped up one but I think it's better that Kishi speeds them up rather than letting them drag on too long.

I predict a little bit of VotE fight next week, and Mito should finally make a brief appearance since the kyuubi ends up sealed inside of her.

Any other thoughts, opinions, and predictions? I would love to hear them

    Till next week

    Manga 624

The flashback starts to speed up now...

    • So back where we left off two weeks ago, Madara and Hashirama's fathers and brothers are determined to fight, and both sides are about easily matched.  Tension and drama build...

    • Both the adults know that they could gain the emotional advantage over the other side if they kill the other's child, but both Madara and Hashirama step in to defend their brothers from attack. They use the same stones which they had previously used to warn and protect each other and as the stones fall into the water we realize that their blood ties have proved to be more important to them than their friendship, especially for Madara.

    • What is with Madara's father's hairstyle? :lmao: Anyways, Madara gives up his friendship with Hashirama as well as the dream of peace between the two clans. He still can't get past the deaths of his brothers and awakens his sharingan right then and there, while making one of those Sasuke-like crazy Uchiha faces.

    • Fast-forwarding through the years, Hashirama and Madara have many battles as they both eventually become head of their respective clans. The Senju clearly have an edge in battle against the Uchiha however.  Tobirama eventually defeats Izuna, and before Izuna dies he warns Madara against giving in to Hashirama's pleas for peace. Even as the rest of the Uchiha clan begins to accept defeat, Madara never gives up.  He aquires eternal mangakyo sharingan after Izuna's death but it's still not enough to defeat Hashirama.

    • Our ever practical and ever badass future second hokage is about to stab a defeated Madara and be done with it, but Hashirama gets all overprotective and doesn't allow him to. I'm sure the HashiMada fangirls enjoyed that moment  Plus, Madara would've been satisfied being finished off by Hashirama instead, but of course he wasn't going to do that to his favorite Uchiha.

    • As Hashirama makes one last plea for peace, Madara responds that the only way Hashirama can make things right between them is by killing either himself or Tobirama. Er, yeah :giggle: Then they would be even since Madara was the only survivor of his brothers.

Well since that is not going to happen, what will? What makes Madara decide to join up with Hashirama and start Konoha, we'll see next week as it seems we're coming to the end of these flashbacks soon.

Thoughts and opinions? As for me, thought it was a little rushed, but that might not be such a bad thing at this point

    Till next week

    Manga 623

The flashback continues as Madara and Hashirama form a closer friendship...

    • Madara finally brings up the fact that Hashirama is strangely unfashionable :lmao:  I'm really enjoying the friendship these two share, it's different from any other relationship in the manga so far.  Even Sasuke and Naruto weren't quite this comfortable with each other.  Anyways, the two plan on getting stronger together so that both might one day change the ninja world.

    • :lmao: Loved Hashi's face when he find's Madara's "weak spot" XD Poor Madara.

    • As the two share some deep conversation from a high spot where the entire forest can be seen, Hashirama comes up with the idea for a place where children don't need to kill each other, but can instead use their talents in missions according to their level rather than being sent to violent battlefields.  And so the seeds for our future Konoha village are being planted already in the minds of these two.  We also get to see how important Izuna was to Madara as his last surviving brother.

    • Good things can't last forever, and once Tobirama discovered where Hashi had been going all that time, he told their father (Butsuma), who reveals Madara's Uchiha lineage to his son.  Rather than forbidding anymore meetings, however, Hashirama's father orders his son to trail Madara for information or kill him if he finds out..

    • Madara's father(Tajima) had the same idea, but luckily both boys are able to warn each other away from the trap via skipping stones.  That neither were able to betray the other says alot about how close they were, despite being from enemy clans who had killed close family members of theirs.

    • Looks like their fathers and brothers plan on battling it out anyway. Interesting that Izuna and Tobirama are already aware of each other. How will this turn out?

From here I predict maybe two more flashback chapters, three at the most.

    Anyone have any other predictions?

    Till next week

    Manga 622

This chapter was really interesting. I didn't even mind that it was a flashback chapter and that none of the main characters were featured in the chapter. I wouldn't mind a whole arc of this honestly.

    • To start with, Hashirama and Madara's cute little faces and personalities are so adorable, I can't get enough of them  But the tension and intrigue of war are still apparent early on in the chapter, cuteness aside.  Hashirama doesn't reveal his surname to Madara and recognizes immediately that he too is a shinobi from the way he throws rocks similar to throwing a shuriken.

    • The tension is broken for a moment by Kishi and his weird fascination with pee humor. Haha, now I can't get the mental image of grown-up Madara not wanting to pee with anyone standing behind him out of my head XD. And awwww, his outburst made little Hashi sad. Really, everything about the interaction between these two is adorable.

    • The light mood is broken though by the dead body of an enemy shinobi floating up from the river, and Hashirama runs atop the water to go investigate, revealing to Madara that he too is a shinobi. The foundation of their bond put in place, we fast forward a little.

    • It appears if I'm not mistaken that Hashirama has lost a brother, his youngest one. We see little Tobirama and yet another brother, Itama, mourning with him. I like that Itama's hair color is half white (like Tobirama's) and half dark (like Hashi's).  Anyways, Hashirama speaks out against the war and ninja system that sacrifes children, prompting some harsh parental discipline from his stern father. His father sees the fighting and death as something noble and is angered that Hashirama would question it.

    • Looks like Tobirama was pragmatic and practical even then. He's more into strict adherance to the rules, but our young dreamer Hashi harbors hope that perhaps warring enemies can come to some sort of alliance. This is sorely needed, seeing as the average lifespan of both shinobi and citizen alike in this period is around 30 (!!!!!) years old. Even Hashi's beloved brother Itama soon gets killed by a group of mean looking Uchihas.  I cried inside at that part because he looked so scared and still, they killed him. Damn Uchihas (says the world's biggest Uchiha-tard :lmao:).

    • The next time they meet, Madara and Hashirama are able to share their pain over having lost brothers (Madara lost 4!!!:wow:) as well as their hope for a better way.

    Excellent chapter, all around.
    Till next week

    Manga 621

This kind of chapter full of battling and complicated jutsus and crazy stuff popping up all over the place is always the hardest to review, but I'll do my best...

    • First, Hashirama counters a bijuudama attack from Madara and the kyuubi, sending it right back at them.  Madara responds by somehow covering the kyuubi in Susanoo armor. Well that's something I definitely never expected to see. Hashirama is rightfully impressed.

    • Hashirama is mostly on the defensive, countering every attack from Madara, using wooden hands, barriers, and ultimately a giant thousand-handed statue that makes Kurama look tiny by comparison.

    • Hashirama doesn't understand why Madara would destroy all they worked for establishing the village of Konoha together just so that he could beat him and accuses Madara of insulting their brothers and comrades. This seems to hit a sore spot for Madara, perhaps because he was supposed to have loved his late brother so much. Anyways, Hashirama mentions that they were supposed to be friends and that he doesn't want to have to fight and kill him, and then it starts feeling a little like a parralel of Naruto and Sasuke's Valley of the End fight (as it is supposed to).  Madara only seems to care about power and beating Hashirama at that point.

    • Time for a flashback within a flashback  Don't you just love those? :giggle: Awww, chibi Madara looked like a mix of Obito and Sasuke.  Chibi Hashirama was better at throwing rocks than him. Cute.  So that was how they met.

    • And that's pretty much it.  It was an okay chapter. This is one of those that I'm sure will look awesome once it's animated, but which can be hard to follow in manga panels, at least for me anyway.  That being said, I like both Hashirama and Madara and look forward to seeing more of their interactions with each other and their backstory, but I also hope that it doesn't take too many weeks so that we can get back to the other hokages. I want to hear what Minato might say :iconexcitedplz:

      Till next week

      Manga 620

Another fun chapter full of hokage goodness :giggle: There was a lot going on, so I'll try to keep it brief..

      • So Sasuke wants to get his answers before he makes his final decision whether to try and destroy Konoha or not.  I'm glad he's not being so impulsive anymore and is growing up somewhat.  I do wonder what his alternative will be if he decides he won't destroy the village. Going back to it? Leaving it alone and moving on elsewhere?  Also, what was Orochimaru's real reason for wanting to destroy Konoha? Questions, questions, questions...:faint:

      • Speaking of Orochimaru, his behavior is really puzzling. Is he on Sasuke's side because he himself is changing or does he still simply want to take over Sasuke's body in the future.  I used to very much feel as an Orochimaru fan that he should always stay fully evil and never change or get reformed, redeemed, or whatever you want to call it. I'm not so sure now.

      • Getting back to the chapter, Tobirama seems about ready to kill Sasuke.  I loved how even Oro looked scared alongside of Suigetsu, heck, even Sasuke looked kind of scared.  Hashirama's fierce side comes out as well though as he keeps his brother in line through the sheer force of his will and chakra, the Naka shrine is almost getting destroyed by the force of these two brothers.

      • Tobirama finally gives in and lets his big brother win for the moment, but he looks very not amused.  Once Hashirama has come down from his epic moment, he makes sure to praise Itachi in front of Sasuke. Smart move if you think about it. I'm beginning to see how he deserved to be hokage after all (forget what I said last week about how did Mito fall in love with him, I'm starting to love him too).  Orochimaru, however, wants the kages to get on with it and give Sasuke his answers already.  There is a war going on close by after all.  Hiruzen immediately wants to go and help; Sasuke can get his answers later, but Oro warns them all that he's the one in control of their bodies.

      • Best moment of the chapter is probably Minato realizing that Naruto was finally able to achieve what he had planned for him when he sealed Kurama within him so many years before.

      • So Tobirama just plans to leave them all and go fight Madara anyway but too bad for him, but with Oro having Hashirama's genetic material and all, the binding of edo tensei is even stronger now, so he is paralyzed.  Hashirama himself cannot be restrained though but he calmly sits down in order to start telling Sasuke the epic tale of the Uchiha and the Senju clans and his epic relationship with Madara.

      • One last note: I'm strongly tempted to change the face in my avvy from crazy Itachi face to that crazy Madara face during he and Hashirama's battle :lmao:

        Till next week

        Manga 619

Mixed emotions right now, I'm both fangirling and thinking "what in the hellz did I just finish reading?!"

        • The scene is set as we have adorable Suigetsu in awe over Hashirama and Tobirama pissed that Oro brought them back again.

        • Now we have Minato referring to Orochimaru as Orochimaru-san :giggle: Again adorable, and after Oro replies with how he's been reading up on Uzumakis, Hashirama asks just who Minato is and is overjoyed to discover that there was a fourth Hokage. A little too overjoyed. This is definitely the spiritual ancestor of Naruto here :lmao:

        • After Oro fills him in to the fact that his grandaughter is now the fifth Hokage, Hashi worries about the village being led by the grandaughter he used to spoil and taught how to gamble for fun.  Suigetsu along with us readers is pretty surprised that the "god of shinobi" is such a derp.  Seriously, how did someone as cool as Mito fall in love with this guy,lol

        • So let's talk about Tobirama for a minute.  He seems like a pragmatic type of person who does what needs to be done but isn't particularly compassionate, whereas Hashirama is the emotional, caring one who maybe gets bossed around by his brother.  Suigetsu is then thoroughly dissilussioned :lmao:

        • Orochimaru steps out of the spotlight and allows Sasuke to start his interrogation.  Hiruzen just confirms Itachi, Danzou and Tobi's earlier account of what Itachi's role in the massacre was. Poor Sasuke's about to cry face broke my fangirl heart.

        • So it's the strength of their love and the pain they feel at the loss of it which makes Uchihas go mad. Explains Obito, that's for sure.  But that shadow Uchiha under the spotlight while Tobirama spoke cracked me up so hard, it was difficult for me to take that part seriously at first.  Thinking about it now though, makes sense.

        • This has to be the most emo chapter I have ever read. I did love Sasuke reminding everyone that he is not a pure child.  He finishes off the chapter by asking Hashirama what is a village and what are shinobi?  Answers next week...

What a strange and entertaining chapter.  I wonder how the next one will top it.  Till then...

          Manga 618

The ones who know everything are finally revealed

          • Taka plus Oro arrive at a worn out, old abandoned shrine.  The swirly symbol at the shrines's entrance should have given it away but it is in fact an Uzumaki shrine as we later learn.

          • Oro in all of his creepy awesomeness isable to distinguish which mask from an assortment of creepy masks is able to summon the death god.  Scared Suigetsu is still adorable...

          • Out on the near empty streets of Konoha, Sasuke surveys his former village in a nicely drawn full page which parrallels Naruto's first glimpse of his village after time spent away, although Sasuke appropriately views his village in the darkness of the night while Naruto saw it on a bright morning. Kishi and his poetic symbolism...

          • So Sasuke needs a little time to get sentimental before he can deciede whether he wants to destroy his village, Oro says. This wise and fatherly Oro is strange and hilarious but still awesome.

          • Suigetsu suggests that if Oro still wanted to destroy Konoha, now would be a perfect chance with all the strong ninja away due to the war and with his strongest former followers with him. Oro agrees, except he points out the fact that Taka are no longer "snake" anymore.  Do I sense a possible Taka vs. Oro fight after all this "ones who know everything" talk is done?

          • In the Uchiha clan's shrine, Oro gets possesed by the death god through wearing the mask, gets his arms out from its stomach (having to cut his own in the process) and is then able to perform edo tensei.  Sacrifices are then required to bring back the four former hokages, who are in fact the ones who know everything.

          • My precious Suigetsu and Juugo were able to escape being sacrificed because Sasuke apparently had 6 Zetsu clones inside of him to watch over him and report his activities to Obito.  Eeew, what the frikkin...? Seriously :faint: Anyways these provide the necesary sacrifices as well as a new body for Oro.

The prospect of Sasuke speaking to the hokages, especially Minato, excites me.  What will they have to say and what will be revealed? I can't wait to find out...

            Manga 617

Lee gets some spotlight this week in "Whirling and Enduring Part 2" :giggle:

            • We start out with some cute flashbacks going over the progression of Rock Lee and Neji's relationship as it progressed from rivalry to true friendship.  Naruto then finally transfers some kyuubi chakra to Lee who looks fierce and ready to avenge his late friend.

            • I like that Lee's friendship with Neji was expored, but Tenten was ignored again and left out of the emotional moment so I expect to hear from more angry Tenten fans this week. She was shown receiving kyuubi chakra from Naruto though. :giggle:

            • Kakashi was shown discussing Naruto's kyuubi chakra with Shikaku from when he asked about it back when he was formulating the plan, but that wasn't a particularly exciting bit so I'll move on...

            • Kurama's gleeful mental acknowledgement of how Naruto has surpassed his own parents was a nice moment in the chapter, I know that not everyone likes Kurama appearing in any way good or supportive of Naruto, but I do

            • The alliance are all kyuubi powered and fired up over Neji's death and seem ready to own Madara and Obito, who is still taunting them about Neji and the curse of bonds. Not smart, Obito.  Naruto's dislocated shoulder is healed impressively by Hinata, who hasn't stopped doing cool things just yet it seems. Makes me wonder where the heck Sakura is. Anyways, it looks like Madara and Obito had better do something quick because a kyuubi powered alliance looks ready to achieve what a group of kages could not.

            • We finish off the chapter with a cooly villainous looking Taka (love that broad shouldered, manly looking Oro and wicked smiling Sui ) approaching what I am guessing to be the still-damaged Uchiha district in Konoha. What will they find there?

Are we switching to team Taka for awhile now? Will Sasuke get to speak to the ones who know everything? What do you guys think?

              Manga 616

              • Sasuke and Taka plus Oro have arrived in Konoha, where they can all feel a strong chakra.  The chakra apparently disturbs Sasuke a little but he continues on towards "the ones who know everything" with Orochimaru in the lead.

              • Back to our main hero Naruto, he shares Kurama's chakra with the alliance via shadow clones, all according to plan, so they all get a feel of his warm, big, strong hands. Lol, I couldn't resist throwing that in there :giggle:

              • Now energized and super-powered with kyuubi chakra, Hinata is able to defend against the Juubi.  Madara smiling and referring to her as "that little girl" was a fun moment XD.

              • Next, the Ino-Shika-Chou part of Shikaku's plan is put in motion as Chouji and his clan help to block the Juubi's attacks, Ino takes over Obito's body in order to thwart another attack, and Shikamaru and the Nara clan bind the Juubi to one spot. Things are starting to feel pretty exciting and maybe absence does cause the heart to grow fonder cause I'm enjoying this chapter alot so far.

              • Some father/son/daughter moments as we witness what the last thoughts that Shikaku and Inoichi left with their children. I loved being reminded of how sweet Ino's friendship with Sakura once was and her father admiring her for her feelings towards her friends. I even enjoyed her remembering her childhood crush on Sasuke.  I liked Shikamaru's moment as well, but am I understanding correctly that Shikaku wanted him to get read of his smutty porn stash or something like that before Yoshino found them? :lmao:

              •  FINALLY!!! Neji was mourned by one of his own team.  Poor Rock Lee. TenTen and Gai attempt to comfort him by telling  him to remember Neji's feelings, but Obito reminds them that remembering the dead can also be a curse. Kakashi then lets Naruto know that the loss of a loved one is a wound you carry forever.   Naruto's reply ends the chapter perfectly. I'll let you guys read it for yourselves

I'm very much excited now. Honestly, I was dreading that this chapter would be a dissapointment after such a long wait, but I thought it was an excellent chapter that moved along at a good pace and nothing felt like a waste of time.

                Manga 615

The last chapter of the year! It's going to throw the pairing wars into a frenzy for sure!
                • Neji is dead  along with many more alliance ninja.  Obito keeps rubbing it in further so that Naruto can feel the pain of those deaths all the more.  Adding to that, the alliance as a whole seem to just realize that Neji died. Poor Gai and Lee. I wish that Tenten was bigger in that panel or got a reaction panel of her own, not for shipping but it would have been more emotional if we could see her face too.

                • Obito offers Naruto an escape from reality, beckoning with an outstretched hand, which Naruto appears to reach for.  What?! I would have slapped him if I could have, but it seems Hinata did it for me.

                • She gives him a motivating talk about how giving up on his beliefs would be the real way to kill his friends and make Neji's death meaningless.  She caresses his face, and all the NH fans explode with joy :giggle:

                • Kurama reminds Naruto that his parents died for him shortly after his birth, entrusting the future to him.

                • Sai and Bee get a moment of action against the Juubi while Naruto takes Hinata's hand and thanks her for staying by his side as he prepares to enter the battle with a new resolve.

Wow. We now have to wait till the middle of January for new chapters, but this one should keep us talking for awhile  What are your Naruto predictions for 2013 now?

I hope you all had a fun Christmas and holidays and wish you all an awesome 2013.

                Manga 614

Time for the Hyuuga clan to get some love in this chapter.

Me in the beginning of the chapter: awesome! Hyuuga time! I've been waiting years for this :headbang:

Me at the end of the chapter: :iconcrycryplz:

                • Shikamaru and Ino hold in their tears and their pain in order to continue on with the battle, while Naruto comes to the realization that yes, people are going to die in this war.

                • In this state, he witnesses some impressive battle theatrics by Neji and Hiashi and has a fangirl moment over their awesome, genius abilities.  However, Hiashi warns him not to get distracted by reminding him that everybody's lives are on the line. Foreshadowng alert... :giggle:

                • Neji bringing up his father while letting Naruto know that Shikamaru and Ino's father's must be glad that they were able to pass away before their children was the first of many emotional Neji moments in this chapter.

                • Seriously, Kishi.  Hinata is one of my favorite characters and I lik NaruHina to a certain extent.  I just wish that Hinata had a wider vocabulary in her dialogue than "Naruto-kun".  But I'm still glad to see her getting some panel-time again :XD: And I loved seeing "the Hyuugas are the strongest of the leaf!" finally being said another time.

                • More bickering banter between Obito and Madara, making it clear that they need each other for now but have no real loyalty to each other.  Both are merely using each other.  I wonder how things will end with these two?...

                • Obito causes the Juubi to rain down death upon the alliance in the form of sharp wooden needles which Naruto attempts to dodge in sage mode with rasenshuriken. Hinata and the Hyuuga surround him protectively, but there are too many wood planks flying out at them.  Hinata shields Naruto with her body and I feel pretty sure she is going to die until...

                • ...we see that it was Neji who gave his life for Naruto and Hinata. The flashbacks,Neji's  beautiful smiling face, his curse seal fading. Hinata crying, the symbolism of that bird killed as it flies free.  It's all too much.  And then we have Obito taunting Naruto about the death of one of his friends.

Happiest of holidays to you all :santa:

                  Manga 613

A chapter that I thought might turn out to be mere padding actually ended up being pretty awesome, at least to me :XD:

                  • With the Juubi apparently immobilized, Naruto and the alliance shift their focus to attacking Madara and Obito, the minds who are controlling it.

                  • However, the Juubi sends them all flying, having transformed into a skeletal devil of a creature that looks sort of like a Pokemon possesed by Satan.

                  • Madara and Obito use Hashirama's cells to further fuse with the beast in order to have better control of it. Creepy.

                  • This forces Shikaku to rethink his strategy and he connects with Kakashi in order to gather more intel.

                  • Our new and improved Juubi seems to be firing off deadly bijuudama and destroying helpless villages at random.  However, it's real target is in fact the HQ where Shikaku, the mind of the alliance, is relaying strategies to them via Inoichi.

                  • Realizing this, Shikaku plans on doing his job to the end, giving his last words to the alliance.  Shikamaru's face when he realizes his father is going to die is really heartbreaking, and this is coming from someone who doesn't like Shikamaru (butthurt Hidan fan XD).  For he and Ino to both lose their fathers after also having lost Asuma is really sad.  Inoichi's reluctance to die and be unable to further help the alliance was also sad  But they are strong and will get through it.

So what did you all think? Are they really dead?  Who else may lose their lives in this war?

                  Manga 612

                  • Madara and Obito are not intimidated by the enormous Shinobi alliance, and still seem pretty sure of their own eventual victory.  Obito at this point does not seem to be changing his views anytime soon.  Luckily Naruto's confidence and determination are about equal with Obito's.

                  • Was I the only one who giggled at those sand ninjas who looked like they were posing with the large fans in the top panel of the chapter's title page? Plus everyone's dead serious faces. I dunno, I found it funny. :giggle:

                  • Again, Obito wants to exterminate everyone (and I'm kinda hoping he gets rid of at least some of the alliance for drama value.  That's not a horrible thought, is it?). The Obito from the past which we all knew and loved is really gone.

                  • Shikaku relays his strategy for victory against the Juubi to the alliance, making use of all of their skills and talents in a short amount of time so that they can trap the beast before dealing with Madara and Obito. Temari is impressed, musing that his strategy planning skills are no coincidence since he is Shikamaru's father after all.  Subtle ShikaTema moment? Temari admiring her future father-in-law maybe?  That interpretation depends on your shipping preferences of course :giggle:

                  • "We should let the Juubi mow them down" :lmao: I love you Obito, evil and all X3  For once however, Madara is impressed and surprised that all the shinobi from their respective different villages are able to cooperate and pull off such a perfect combo of their jutsus.

                  • Despite being apparently trapped, the Juubi seems about to reach "perfect" form, whatever that may be.  Good.  I was hoping trapping it wouldn't be so easy.  And the chapter ends there, on a cliffhanger of sorts.

                  Manga 611

The title of this week's chapter is "Arrival".  Hmm, who will arrive this time?

                  • Back to where we left off, the Juubi flicks back Gyuuki's bijuudama as though it were nothing. Clone Naruto and Kakashi are then vulnerable to attack.

                  • Fun Madara comment of the week. "There are two flies above us." XD

                  • Clone Naruto pushes Kakashi out of the way of danger from the Juubi's tail, getting hit by it himself and dissapearing.  This action leads Obito to realize how alike they were as he remembers pushing Kakashi out of the way of the rocks that crushed him (or at least that's what I think he was remembering.  The image was kind of blurry  ). However, he is confident that Naruto will end up like him as he is now one day.

                  • The Tailed Beast Mode is at it's limit for both Kurama and Gyuuki, and so Kurama tells Naruto to buy them some time while it accumulates more chakra.  Obito and Madara notice the loss of chakra from the tailed beasts and Madara starts teasing Naruto in that arrogant way we all know and love.

                  • Some more "it's useless" type talk from Obito, some more "I'm gonna be Hokage" talk from Naruto. The usual  but I did find it amusing that Obito promised to make Naruto Hokage in infinite Tsukuyomi world. That made me laugh.  So anyway, the Juubi is about to fire an enormous bijuudama and all seems hopeless until...

                  • The attack is thwarted by Ino who momentarily took control of the Juubi's body and fired the blast in another direction.  My appreciation goes out to Kishi for letting Ino do something awesome.

                  • Along with Ino come Hinata, Neji, Kiba, and then pretty much everyone.  We finally get to see some of our favorites again in all of their adorable glory.

So what did you guys think?  I have a feeling that the pairing wars might get more interesting after Kiba's comments about Naruto and Hinata :XD: Altogether, everything should get more interesting with more characters around to share panel space. I'd love to hear all of your opinions on it.

                  Manga 610

                  • The Juubi as it is now is a pretty huge, ugly thing with a large eyeball and scary looking teeth, but our heroes are not intimidated. :faint:

                  • In short, Kurama pretty much takes command this chapter, which makes sense given the nature of their opponent.

                  • Madara and Obito stand atop the Juubi's back, apparently connected to it.  Madara regrets that Naruto and Bee weren't captured before the Juubi's revival, as they're in his way now and are stronger than he expected.  That probably means alot coming from him, thinking back on the disregard with which he treated the kages.

                  • A tense moment then occurs between Obito and Madara, as Madara wants to test out the Juubi's power by using it to defeat Gyuuki (I remembered its name this time :XD:) and Kurama.  Obito, however, wants to start casting infinite Tsukuyomi right away and calls Madara a child for being more concerned with the beast's abilities.  Madara countered by saying that a child was someone who was too impatient (as Obito was being.) Touche, Madara :giggle:

                  • Kakashi appreciates Kurama taking charge.  How sweet.

                  • A barrage of bijuudamas cannot stop the mighty Juubi.  The drama builds!

                  • As the chapter nears it's end, it seems that Kakashi has teleported Gyuuki right in front of the Juubi and it's creepy eyeball.

                  Manga 609

                  • Returning to where we left off, Kakashi and Gai are near death, giving all they have to protect Naruto.  Hachibi comments on how ninjas from the Leaf village like to act tough. Haha

                  • With Kakashi too weak to do pretty much anything, Obito tries at sending him to boxland once again.  I have to admit I laughed when he told Kakashi "stay in your trash bin". lol Obito.

                  • Naruto head butting to the rescue! Seriously, why is this chapter making me giggle so much?

                  • Okay, so Hachibi (why can I never remember it's actual name?) plans on dealing with the Juubi which has yet to awaken while Naruto deals with Obito.  Naruto, being Naruto, taunts Obito about how he can clearly see his struggling face now.  Obito, being Obito, remarks back that maybe Naruto should say that after looking at Kakashi, who looks in pretty damn bad shape.

                  • Kurama convinces Naruto to switch over and let him take control of his body.  After Naruto agrees, Kurama (in control of Naruto's body) asks Kakashi to grab his hand and then proceeds to allow Obito to trap Kakashi in boxland again.  This moment, combined with Naruto's facial expression afterwards, is where I really start cracking up.

                  • When Obito starts to avoid Naruto's attack by partially teleporting his body to boxland, he is struck and wounded by Kakashi, who unbeknowest to Naruto was given more chakra by Kurama.  Again, the image of Kakashi punching Obito's floating lower torso made me giggle way more than it should have.  I must have had too much caffeine this morning :giggle:

                  • Now it's Kakashi's turn to taunt an injured Obito.  I guess he's finally putting sentimentality aside for the sake of getting things done.  Good job, Kakashi.

                  • Finally, Kurama and the Hachibi (a llama badge for whoever is the first to remind me of it's name :XD:) plan to destroy the Juubi with an enormous biijudama before it can revive.  After they do so, everyone celebrates thinking all their troubles are over.  Alas, the Juubi apparently revives anyway.  Cue Obito and Madara looking appropriately badass as they await the end of the world.

So what did you guys think?  I enjoyed the action in this chapter and the fact that I found so much of it unintentionally hilarious, but that's part of what I adore about the Naruto manga as a whole :XD:

                  Manga 608

                  • The battle between Kakashi and Obito continues, with Kakashi still asking the "why" questions which Obito refuses to answer.  Obito insults Kakashi, calling him trash and traps him in boxland.

                  • In boxland, Kakashi experiences yet another Kakashi gaiden flashback that we are already familiar with, the "people who don't care for their friends are worse than trash" one.  Kakashi can't believe the friend he idolized as a hero after his "death" is now his enemy and what-not.

                  • Kakashi escapes boxland using kamui and is back to asking "why" again.  He then pretty passively becomes a human shuriken-pin cushion for Obito while still reminiscing about the past.  Kakashi.....

                  • As Obito continues to refer to Kakashi as trash that should die, Kakashi agrees with him and implores Obito that he doesn't have to end up like him.  In my opinion, this sort of admission of guilt leads me to think that he did purposely kill Rin for whatever reason and it was no accident.  Interesting...

                  • Obito goes all creepy and Light Yagami-esque on Kakashi, proclaiming that all shinobi who survive end up becoming trash and that was why he was going to rebuild the world.  I don't know whether I should be amused or horrified by this :giggle:

                  • Naruto declares that he is not going to become trash and that he will protect his friends, echoing young Obito's words which Kakshi passed onto him.

                  • Now Naruto and friends are energized and inspired, Kakashi snaps out of whatever it was he was going through, Gai summons a tiger.  You get the picture.  The power of friendship at work again XD

                  Manga 607

                  • "I Don't Care Anymore" That title really made me giggle for some reason.  That Obito...

                  • Going back to where we last left off, Obito, now posing as Madara, begins to preach Madara's peace and love gospel to Nagato, Yahiko, and Konan.  He tries to convince Nagato that he is the reincarnation of the sage of six paths as well, but smart Yahiko is skeptical of all of it, knowing that anything that sounds too good to be true usually is.

                  • Yahiko convinces the trio to leave Tobi, but he ominously promises to come there every day, and that one day Nagato would realize he was right about the world.  It's like Tobi really has taken the place of Madara at this point and Nagato is innoccent as he once was, and is destined for a similar suffering.  Sad.

                  • We cut to Tobi in Konoha, watching Kakashi visit Rin's grave.  Seriously, can anybody just walk right into Konoha undetected? :lmao:

                  • Kakashi speaks aloud to Rin, telling her the top-secret news about Naruto's impending birth, and how if only the two of them had been born in a world without war like the one Minato's son would be born into.  He goes to speak to Obito's grave, unaware that he is watching the whole thing.

                  • Tobi chooses this moment to start summoning the kyuubi, and when he finally comes across Hokage Minato, we are treated to yet another flashback within a flashback of the two meeting each other for the first time.

                  • Cute moment as young Obito shares his desire to be Hokage and have his face on the Hokage mountain with both his goggles and his sharingan.  I would love it if someone tried to draw that :XD: Anyways, Minato was glad to have someone on the team who shared his same dream, and it seemed as though they would get along well.

                  • Unfortunately, as the Kyuubi lets loose an enourmous bijuu dama, Obito muses that he just doesn't care about anything in the ninja world anymore.

                  • End of flashback  Back to Madara and Naruto, and as the son of the fourth Hokage, Naruto is not going to fall so easily for any of Madara's smooth, arrogant words.  This outburst prompts Madara to reply that he was going to be tolerant of Naruto as the real jinchuuriki, but will hold back no longer.  It feels so good to have badass young Madara back.  He summons Hashirama's wood dragon (I'm sure many a joke could be made on that combination of words), which apparently was used to bind the kyuubi in the past, I'm guessing right before it was put into Mito's body.  The wood dragon and Kurama going head-to-head indeed looks very cool.

                  • Kakashi asks the inevitable "why?" question to Obito, who is unwilling to talk, only to finish "their final fight"

                  Manga 606

                  • Obito is remembering about Mads' dream of a world without pain.

                  • He then kneels down to touch Rin - and surprise-surprise; his hand goes directly through her; as if the whole Rin is a hologram :omg:.

                  • Most panels are filled with black and supposedly suffering. Bleeding Rin overload. Drama.

                  • LOTS of drama. Pain (not as Yahiko; but as a feeling). Which moves Obito to realize his new dream.

                  • A dream to create a world where Rin would be alive.

                  • Therefore Obito predictably comes back to old wise troll Mads :XD: and declares his wish.
Mads approves (but of course he would!) and proclaims Obito as the saviour.
Or, if put in normal words; begins the brainwashing.

                  • In Mads' genjutsu world he's young and oh.dear.God huggable
He tells Obito the story of Rikoudou & Juubi  (but we don't get to hear about it just yet :tears:).

                  • Next panel Zetsu introduces Obito to no one other than Nagato's eyes; which they say truly belong to Mads. Soap opera of eyes begins. :faint:

                  • Finally comes the finest part - Madara divulges some info about Juubi and it turns out that what we commonly call as the Moon is actually the sealing stone of the Juubi :omg:
Meanwhile Juubi's empty shell is used by Mads as an incubator for Hashi's cells.
Do you still get the line of the scenario here? :o

                  • So Obito decides to befriend Nagato (HOW SWEET :aww:); and to use the Rinne Tensei to revive Mads (as we all know; the plan wonderfully failed).

Nagato suspects the worst. He's always been a perceptive guy.

                  Manga 605

                  "Hell"
A beautiful name for a birthday chapter, ain't it? :la:

                  • The sight of lethally wounded bleeding Rin is perhaps too much; but Obito can't help staring.

                  • In the meanwhile the Kiri nins realize Kakashi revealed their evil plan of sorts :eyes:; by disposing of Rin.

                  • As a result of anger mixed with epic mental breakdown both Kakashi & Obito develop a Mangekyo sharingan.

                  • Enraged; Obito decides to go on the rampage and slice some Kiri Anbu into pieces; in the process easily dodging their attacks with the help of the Spiral guy.

                  • The slaughterhouse goes on for several pages; when Kiri nins finally realize they can't hit the guy, like, at all; and therefore decide to retrieve Rin's body before Obito does so.

                  • In the heat of the battle Spiral can't help but compliment Obito on the ease the guy used one of Hashirama's jutsus (included in the Spiral's body; seems like) and come to an understanding as to why Madara chose him.

                  • While Kiri nins are completely dumbfounded seeing how one creep slices through them as if they were butter; Obito activates the Tsukiyomi (or sort of it) and absorbs the Kiri nins and Rin's body to his own dimension which he next names as Hell. How cute :aww:

                  • Now I wonder what was Kakashi doing this whole time watching the Spiral Obito fighting? Enjoying the show with popcorn or what? :omg:

                  Manga 604

                  "Meet again, and then..."
A promising title, isn't it? :la:

                  • The best thing about this chapter is the coloured cover in celebration of over 600 chapters - it's all about Konoha's adult ninjas and their portraits as young teens - Gai, Kurenai, Asuma, Genma, Hayate, Ebisu and others are SOO CUTE as kids it's just pure 'awwwwww' :aww:

                  • The rest of the chapter isn't that positive and fluffy - the Spiral zetsu guy uses the magical 'manly fusion' to absorb and thus protect Obito's body and escape their asylum; but Madara wakes up

                  • Being old and weak (it doesn't suit the Mads we know :() Mads doesn't prevent Obito from going out but wisely foresees the boy is going to return to uncle Mads. Obito objects; bidding farewell and thanking Mads for taking care of him.
Mads, being the troll he is, speculates that soon Obito is going to return with a sincere gratitude.

                  • Obito visits Mads' armory where he keeps the epic scythe; the war fan; the gothic black cloaks and other fancy garments. The Spiral guy suggests they wear a cloak for it's cold outside; and meanwhile forms some kind of a living hoodie around Obito's head.
                    Kishi, you're a fashionista :XD:

                  • As the happy-manly-fusion sets out on their quest; Spiral suggests he'd better fight and protect Obito; but hell no; Obito has the sharingan; and Kakashi has the matching sharingan; thus if they fight together; Obito will be powerful.
Spiral wonders if their fusion, being technically the mixture of Uchiha & Senju; could lead to some epic empowering of Obito; but realizes they'd have to experiment to learn the truth.

                  • As Obito runs; he begins to hallucinate (or so he thinks ) and sees Rin bleeding and dying from his own hands.
There goes the flashback of how Kakashi promised him to protect the girl...

                  • The hallucinations; however; turn out to be just the visions from Obito's left eye; meaning he can see what Kakashi currently sees. And the scene he sees shocks him so much he doesn't want to believe it...

                  • When Obito (finally!) arrives to the scene of the battle; he sees Kakashi naturally shoving his left hand into Rin's chest. Through the flesh and out of the back.
                    Goodbye sweet princess... :omg:

I guess next chapter will be either RAGE or explanation for Kakashi's unexpected show of emotions
