You can join us as a member (will be automatically approved) but hold off on the submissions for now, while we set up the folders. It would be terrible to just have a mess of submissions in the one folder.

Want to make it more likely people will search for your art.

I'd been experimenting - and yes, you can submit to specific folders. However, you can only submit a piece of art to one folder. So if it has two characters in it, you'll have to pick one.

But there will be more details on how to submit, for now, just join us as a member if you intend to contribute! ^^

Masquerade contest winners!

Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who participated - whether it's from entering, voting, giving a prize or simply enjoying the art! ^^ And please thank those who participated and won by faving their entries and features - there are some new features at the very bottom of the journal.

Our contest hub journal - since it doesn't have thumbs, so we can update without a subby - will have future contest ideas. ^^ (we're having a little break first, though)

Hi everyone!

Well, the poll results were close, but we'd eventually get around to all topics, I think, so it's a matter of order.

But we will have a liiiittle break after this contest. I didn't particularly want to draw attention to this because we're NOT begging for a subscription, but this comp is to make the most out of the subscription we currently have.

Contest deadline is a week before it expires, to give enough time for voting and features. Then we can have a few weeks break while we're unsubbed, and hopefully the club system will be online by then! See #hq for details on the official groups system.

(I'll convert ~Church-Of-L first because I own that club, and scope it out. Eventually I'd want *NarutoWorld to be a proper club, though. Just have to think about how we're going to go about certain things Narutoworld does. )

Anyway~ announcing the contest now to give everyone a lot of time! ^^

Theme - masquerade! What is a masquerade? It's when people wear fine clothes like going to a ball, but everyone has to have a mask! (usually quite glitzy). It can range from a mask just covering the eyes, or a full-face mask. Also, the mask is traditionally attached by a stick on the side, so people have to actively hold their masks in place. Like so

Don't know if that applies anymore, though.

As you can see, the design could be ANYTHING, but it's glamorous. Want more examples? Search dA for 'mask' or 'masquerade' sorted by most popular. ^^

Usually we have some kind of list that people choose characters from, but I thought this would be kind of limiting for this comp given it's theme (thought that people would have more fun dressing up their fave character rather than just anyone). So, no limits on which Naruto character, no limit on the number of Naruto characters in the pic, and you may enter more than one entry if you're inspired to do so.

To make it a bit different, original characters are accepted, but best if they're designed to be in the Naruto universe
